![]() ![]() ![]() The TV instructs me that my wireless signal is not strong enough ( which I knew) and that I should use a wired connection. So I did the natural thing and connected the LAN cable that was in the link to the TV. ![]() I bought a new TV set and it came with the link app. I'm using the steam link with a USB to Ethernet adapter. So the WiFi Signal will only go from AC -> Ceiling. From that repeater I have a wired connection to the room with the PC. So it's basically this: AP in the basement, one floor above I have a TP Link repeater, so there's only one ceiling between AP and Repeater. So, yeah, these red flags about WiFi, I saw them too. Or the Internet in the basement, you can imagine, the horrors on your TV, oOĪgain, I dun have the STEAM Link App, so I can't be certain if the WiFi is just as bad, Now imagine what that would be like with the steam link on a whole nother floor, I get pretty much no lag, but I see once in a while a slight pixelation.īut it's no big deal, but i'm on the top floor. & router, where there is a drywall in between them. And my TV is like really close to the modem & I have all the settings down to the highest performance, & the I'm not exactly sure how good the App is on WiFi.īut from what it sounds like, the WiFi is half the performance of the Wired Connection. How good is the signal of your Internet without the STEAM Link?ĭo you have areas in the house that are dead zones? & the Internet (Router & Modem) in your house? Is there any surfaces in between the STEAM Link, Where is your TV located? If it's on a whole nother floor in the house,Īnother thing is. That doesn't sound promissing for the STEAM Link. Your Internet is downstairs in the basement? I see some red flags in what you have said above.
